Anada 1989
Description
This is a vintage oloroso sherry, produced entirely from Palomino Fino grapes, pure grape spirit being added to arrest the fermentation, thus retaining the grape's natural sugar, and obtaining a semi sweet, rich oloroso sherry.  Subsequently, Anada 1989 has been aged for fourteen years in american oak in Lustau bodegas, sealed, controlled and guaranteed by the Sherry Council.  The wine was bottled at the end of 2003.  Old gold in colour, with penetrating aromas of dried fruits and a hint of oak.  The wine is soft and sweet, with great complexity, well balanced and very long on the palate.

Picture to come When To Drink it
Palo Cortado is a relatively rare sherry in that only about 1-2% of grapes pressed in the Jerez district develop into a Palo Cortado wine, the character of which has the finesse and delicacy of an Amontillado with the richness of an Oloroso.  Of a light amber colour, this Palo Cortado is dry and has an immensely rich flavour, with nuances of vaniila, coffee and dark chocolate.  Serve as an aperitif with olives, nuts, cheese or serrano ham.  Also to accompany game soups, cold and smoked meats, foie-gras and many spicy asian dishes.
