Pale straw in colour, this Manzanilla Pasada is delightfully
aromatic, reminiscent of green apples, with the characteristic
hint of a sea breeze. Dry and fresh, light, yet with substance
and body and a refreshing acidity.

Description
A tawny gold colour, this elegant and classic amontillado
wine is pungent and aromatic, with oaky notes. On the palate
it is nutty, with a hint of sweetness, but with a lingering
dry finish. Awarded Gold Medal at the IWC 2005. |

The
Almacenista
José Luis González Obregón was a retired
Capataz General. From his cellars with their 1,500 butts of
Sherry, we have chosen three wines: a Fino del Puerto from
a solera of 143 butts, an Amontillado del Puerto from a solera
of 10 butts and an Oloroso from a solera of 110 butts. |

an immensely rich flavour, with nuances of vanilla, coffee

The
Almacenista:
Vides S.A. was founded in 1958 by Don Tomas Domecq Rivero,
and the bodegas are located a few hundred yards from Lustau's
main cellars in the old Santiago quarter of the city. Today,
his grandson, Don Fernando Leon Manjon owns the bodega. |

Description:
Dark gold in colour, with aromas of dried fruits. Very rich
and concentrated with a powerful intensity on the palate,
found in the oldest soleras of Oloroso sherries. Awarded

The
Almacenista:
Don Juan García Jarana has this 100 year old bodega
as a hobby. He has 300 butts of Finos, Amontillados and Olorosos
- as well as Sherry vinegar - mainly given to friends and
business associates. Lustau purchases small quantities of
this Oloroso from a solera of 38 butts. |

wines. A jewel bright dark gold colour, with penetrating and

exquisite, very old wines. |

Description:

on the palate. Tim White of Australia, in his column for the
Financial Review, nominated this Fino as Wine of the Year,
and commented: "Full on flor aromas, chestnuts, almond
spice, fresh smells of the sea. Soft textures, excellent length,
and wholemeal bread, tangy parmesan cheese mouth-aromas."

Mahogany colour, with khaki hues. Concentrated, fragrant and
smoky aromas. Full in the mouth with complex flavours of wood,

The
Almacenista:
The Cuevas family has an important grocery wholesale business
in Sanlúcar, in addition to vineyards in the Callejuelas
district, with some of the best "albariza" soils.
Don Manuel Cuevas Jurado has an infectious enthusiasm when
speaking about his wines, and it is a joy to listen to him
talk of them, a glass of chilled Manzanilla in his hand, sitting
in one of the shady corners of his picturesque bodegas in
the Calle Trabajaderos. |

The
Almacenista:
As with most of our Almacenistas, the maturing of Sherries
is more of a hobby than a commercial enterprise for Sr. Zamorano.
He is a well known entrepreneur in Jerez, and has a business
consultancy and interests in many sectors of local trade and
agriculture. A very well travelled man, Angel Zamorano takes
enormous pride in the wines (some 300 butts) held in his bodegas. |
