Robert Parker’s Points
Robert Parker of the Wine Advocate, USA wine guru, recently
tasted our sherries with these outstanding results:
| Los Arcos |
90 points |
The dry medium amber-hued non-vintage Dry Amontillado Los Arcos offers good body as well as a heady personality. |
| East India Solera |
94 points |
Readers looking for something weighty sweet and provocative should
check out the non-vintage East Indian solera. A blend of soleras
averaging 15-20 years of age, it boasts a dark amber color as well
as a huge nose of melted toffee, caramel, figs and prunes. This overthe
top yet surprisingly vibrant (because of good acidity) effort is
best drunk as dessert at the end of a meal. |
| Fino Jarana |
90 points |
The crisp, light bodied pungent non-vintage Fino Jarana is redolent
of the smells and flavours of roasted nuts. |
Palo Cortado Pensinsula |
92 points |
One of my favorites among the drier, lighter styled sherries is the
non-vintage Palo Cortado Península. Medium amber colored with
great balance intensity and acidity as well as a scorched earth/roasted nut character, it is stunning flavourful yet light crisp Sherry. |
| Pedro Ximénez Murillo |
94 points |
The stunning non-vintage Pedro Ximénez Murillo is from a solera
between 30-40 years of age. A dark amber color is accompanied
by notes of scorched earth, figs, prunes, toffee and marmalade.
Lustau named as top Spanish Wine and Food Company 2004 by
the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. |
